I had the honor of meeting quite the tag-team of father and son. I also had the honor of taking a few photos of said tag-team. Enjoy.
Reba and Blake Shelton, true Oklahoma natives, banned together to help those effected by the devasting Tushka tornado. They kind of rule.
Active night sky around ‘ole Oklahoma. It started out like your average lightning, striking occassionally or stretching across the sky. Then, as if someone turned up the Beethoven, Bach, maybe Mozart, the “strobe light effect” keeps the black sky purple. It was quite the sight.

I did much more than simply fall into nature. I fell in love with nature and all that comes along with it. The sounds, the feeling, the overall ambiance that blends together in such perfected cadence it is hard to escape. I’ve always loved nature. I’ve always loved the natural curves and shapes that create each thing piece of landscape. Even the animals. Everything about nature screams to be captured by my lens. I further fell in love with nature and capturing the essence that is the very place we grace. Thanks to a man I met in California whose iceberg photograph spawned my curiosity.

Ralph Clevenger is a professor at Brooks Institute, the very school I received my own photography/photojournalism education. I had the distinct honor and pleasure to meet him, speak to him, learn from him, but was never able to take a class from him. I still learned many things from him and continue to use some of his advice in everyday shooting.
This man continues to inspire me with his photographs.
